There is no point re-inventing the wheel. There are many credible and insightful sites already providing great content on ADHD-related topics. Herewith, in no particular order, are a list of sites that we endorse.

Mental Health

The Globe and Mail has been covering mental health much more consistently, ever since Senator Michael Kirby promoted creation of the Mental Health Commission of Canada and its subsequent funding by the Federal government. www.theglobeandmail.com/special-reports/breaking-through/
ADHD
Probably the most comprehensive ADHD site with Canadian content. This is the site for the Canadian Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Resource Alliance, CADDRA, www.caddra.ca.

Other ADHD sites: www.cmeonadhd.com
                             www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/attention-deficit-hyperactivity-disorder/
                             www.chadd.org/
                             www.webmd.com/add-adhd/default.htm
                             www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/ADHD/
                             www.mayoclinic.com/health/adhd/DS00275/

For a taste of the 'controversy' that still surrounds ADHD, read this recent report from the Belfast Telegraph, Jan 2, 2010:
www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/opinion/letters/adhd-junk-science-to-explain-away-criminality-14619415.html

Finally, a website that is always worth a look is the comprehensive and even-handed site of Vancouver's own Pete Quily: www.addcoach4u.com

Substance Abuse and Addiction
The National Institute of Drug Abuse, NIDA, is one of the few government institutions that truly meets its mandate. Director, Dr. Nora Volkow, is not only a top researcher, and a respected spokesperson, but she has managed to keep NIDA honest during a period of American Public Policy where many had lost their way. www.nida.nih.gov
